United Way BBQ Showdown

United Way of Stephens County's 7th annual BBQ Showdown to be held Saturday Sept. 14^th from noon to 2:00 pm.  We are all about BBQ and fun while raising money for 15 local non-profits.  All are welcome to compete from backyard cookers to BBQ Pit Masters in our friendly non-sanctioned competition.  We have an average of 12 teams all vying for the coveted "People's Choice" award and the $250.00 1st place prize money for each meat category.  Entries include Beef Brisket, Pork Butt, Pork Ribs, and Chicken Thighs. Also being judged are sides such as beans and desserts.  Cook teams can enter up to August 31, 2024. Wristbands are $10 for adults and $5 for Children (10 and under). Wristbands include samples from each team while it lasts and is to be eaten on site. Kiddieland will be open for children with wristbands only from noon to 2:00 pm. This is a great family event you don’t want to miss!
